Global's Children Initiative

The Global Children's Initiative was founded in 2006 at Harvard University. This organization works together to make sure children receive the proper health and development they need in order to survive. The global program focuses on three major areas; reframing the child health and development course, supporting innovating research, and building leadership development. The organization works together to apply new knowledge that address the health and development of children in a variety of different settings such as those who suffer from mental health issues or have been the victim of a crisis. They are working together to enhance the well-being of families of those throughout the world.

  1. Stephanie,
As I continue to learn more about the global perspective of our field, I find myself looking at what we have in our country in a different way. Even though there is a great deal of poverty in my community, it is nothing like what exists around the world. Efforts such as the Global Children's Initiative have a solid impact on the children of the world. Their work is so important.

  2. I am really enjoying learning of the efforts of other countries in collaboration with the Global Children's Initiative as it assists children and their families. In reading of their activities in Brazil, I am find it admirable that not only are they helping families but they are not neglecting the culture of Brazil while assisting these families.
